[Crw-talk] St. Joes. Nursing Home Turning Demo

Hi all,
We need some turners and talkers for our demo at the nursing home. We will have 4 lathes set up and will turn what ever you want to bring. (Pens, small bowls etc) All articles turned will be given to the patients. Light sanding is OK.

The date of the demo is Tuesday April 10th. We will meet at 12:00 to set up and expect patients at about 12:45 to 3:00 PM. We will be meeting in their main Rec. area which is located in the center back of the building. Access to that section will be at the rear down the back fire lane. some parking is available in the back next to the entrance door. Otherwise check in to the main desk and they will direct you.

Bring your own tools and blanks to provide to the patients. I will have pen material to make Denis Falch type pens.

Directions to the facility are as follows:

Take Mormon Coulee Road to Shopko South and turn right at  Wendy's Hamburger Shop. That is Shelby Road. Go to the end of the street until you hit the river. You are now at St. Joes. (2501 Shelby Road)

Please contact me if you can attend and turn or help explain to the patients what woodturning is all about, we need your help. I will be leaving my house at 11:15 am, if you need a ride be at my house. I have room for 3.
