[Crw-talk] Burls!!!!!

I got a call last week from a guy who works at the saw mill in 
Trempaleau.  He said he had a walnut burl I might be interested in.  I 
went over to his place on Saturday morning to check out the burl.  It 
was a solid burl 24" diameter by 12" high.  Gorgeous!  While there, he 
showed me a stock pile of burls he has accumulated.  He has don some 
wood working but now has small kids and does not have time to work with 
it.  Anyway, he has a large assortment of walnut, cherry, maple and oak 
burls at his house.  He also has a lot of 2" and 3" slabs in various 
woods.  He would like to sell the burls and slabs.  I said I would 
mention it at the club meeting and CRW-Talk.  We talked and kind of set 
a date for December 3 to come back with others who might be interested. 
Let me know if you are interested and we will set something up.  You 
WILL want to bring a pickup or two.
