I just spent a couple hours at a residence on Redfield street, where a large black walnut tipped over. The really big trunk sections are gone, and they have a tree service coming Tuesday to grind the stump. I sawed some pieces and helped cut the rest into useable sizes. Nothing over 12" diameter or so. iT's all chunked up now, so it should be easy to carry away. The address is 1230 Redfield, kind of in the middle of the block. The wood is in the back yard. My truck is also half full of chunks, which am going to anchorseal as soon as I finish this. Mostly crotch pieces. I think I will keep some, but I don't have room to store it all or time to work with it, so if someone wants some green walnut, you can contact me this weekend. My home phone is 784-9970.
