Hi Again,
 As a challenge, the extra pieces that are cut up and not taken by the cutters will be offered at the next meeting for $3.00 each (2 for $5.00) and the proceeds going to the club with the understanding that they need to become something (Other than logs) and shown at the Sept. meeting. One Best of Show prize will be awarded for the entry. This will be a Green Wood Challenge.

  Hi All,
  I lost a black walnut tree in my back yard (Due to the storm last night) that is about 18 inches diameter with a straight trunk about 25 to 30 feet long. The roots let go and the root ball is 1/2 exposed. The tree is in very good condition as far as I can see.

  Let me know if any of you would like to help cut it up and the pieces go to whoever wants to help. As I see the weather forecast the high temps are expected to drop by next Thursday, Friday or Sat. I will be available any of those days to help cut it up. You can bring your own chain saws, I have one. I will supply 50-1 gas for the saws.
