Woodturners
Dear William Gautsch ,
I would appreciate it if you would forward this email on to your
membership regarding woodturning events and regsional symposium.
Greetings from Turn-On! Chicago 2010
Dear Fellow Woodturner,
You deserve a vacation! A little get-away. Some time to relax, recharge
and learn some new turning techniques. Our symposium, Turn-On! Chicago
2010 happens on August 20-22 and you deserve to be there. We have a
stellar roster of demonstrators, hands-on events, a great trade show
and more, all designed for you.
We are located in the near north suburbs of Chicago at the University of
Saint Mary of the Lake, a secluded campus near to Chicago, but away from
the noise and traffic of the City of Broad Shoulders, the City That
Turns. This year, we are featuring a dozen world-class demonstrators,
covering every aspect of turning.
This is an opportunity to show your support for our Armed Forces, as
well. At the symposium, you can donate your turned pens for distribution
to the troops that put themselves in harm's way for us. We will be
collecting your pens for the troops. In addition, there will be a
hands-on turning session on Friday evening. This is a great chance to
turn a pen for the troops, and if you are new to pen turning, we'll have
a staff of seasoned pen turners to guide you through the process. Bring
your turned pens to Chicago or turn one while you're here. We'll make
sure they get delivered to those who deserve them the most.
Housing is still available at the symposium. An additional block of
rooms has been made available to symposium attendees, but these are
going fast. Register now to reserve a room on campus. Call Jan Shotola
at 847-412-9781 for housing questions.
Registration is still $260 for all three days, but late registration
fees go into effect soon. Save yourself some money and register today!
Registration forms are available on the website: www.turnonchicago.com
or contact Jan Shotola at jshotola at yahoo.com or call at 847-412-9781.
We're saving a spot for you, but don't delay!
See you in August,
Paul Shotola, Turn-On! Chicago 2010
