Well, it looks like we should have a beautiful day for Tool Day on Saturday(according to this morning's weather forcast). Here are a couple of notes/reminders for Tool Day.
Pam equests you bring exact change or your checkbook. The cost is $15 per tool you ordered. Pam and John Fisher will handle registration. If you pre-oredered, we will have a kit made up for you.
If everyone who signed up to bring grinders remembers, we should have 10 grinders available. Those who signed up to bring grinders were: Jim Frank, Wayne Van Every, Odell Anderson, Rich Egan, Greg Zeller, Bob Raasch, and Gary Friemann. I f your grinder has a Wolverine system, we will only need the grinding platform, not the long arm or varigrind jig. If you bring a dressing stick for your grinder, that would be appreciated.
Remember,we want everyone to have fun and BE SAFE. We will have about 6 people who are grinder mentors. If you are unsure what to do, don't feel comfortable or don't know how to do it, ASK.
Denis and Doug Falch have been kind enough to allow us the use of their shop the day. When everything is done, help clean up. There will be a LOT of METAL SHAVINGS. Be careful picking them up.
Finally, here is a brief list of what you should bring:
Everyone will need to bring either goggles or a face shield for grinding. No one will be allowed to grind without eye protection. Hearing protection would also be a good idea.
Bring fine point Sharpies, and steel rules for measuring
If you have a Workmate, bring it along. We may need them for grinders.
If you have some water pails, bring them. We wil have a lot of dipping to do
Hope to see you Staurday for Tool Day!
Duane
