Subject: [Crw-talk] September's Tool Day Meeting

To the Membership of CRW,
We currently have 24 members signed up for the tool day at
Falch's in Sept. The tools are the 3 point tool, the vortex tool, the
negative rake scraper, and the recess tool. Tool Days are often a highly
attended meeting in the past. The officers don't want to order a lot of
extra material and potentially not have it sell. On the other hand we also
don't want to run out. The fee for the tool day is being estimated at $15
for one tool and an insert. Extra tools and inserts may be available if the
supply is available. If you intend to make a tool or would like to sign up
to make a second tool, you must have your choice in to Duane no later than
Thursday evening (8/27). If you don't contact Duane with your selection,
then you run the risk of there not being enough materials to make your tool.
Those who get their selection in to Duane on time will get first dibs at the
tool materials. Contact Duane at wisawdust at charter.net.
Since we have 24 members signed up for the meeting we're also
concerned about the lathe proposal vote. We need to have a quorum for this
vote and we currently have over 80 members on our active roster. As it
stated in the Newsletter, all absentee votes must be to Mike Henderson,
prior to Sept. 18th. Contact Mike at asterplace at charter.net.

Thank you for your attention to these matters,

CRW Officers
