Chatterwork in endgrain of 1 1/2 inch diameter mahagony.

 

 

Turned concave before applying the chatter tool.

These two on top made with a 3/8 inch x 1/16 inch blade.

A convex one.

A garden rake tine, 1/4 x 1/16 inch was used for this one.

This one was made with a 1/2 inch wide blade, 1/16 inch thick.

Notice the finest pattern using the smallest tool, and the coarsest pattern in the largest tool.
